We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist at our Portland, Oregon location. This role is key to maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our warehouse inventory, supporting efficient logistics operations and ensuring product availability for our customers. You will be responsible for implementing and overseeing robust inventory control procedures, including conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and managing inventory adjustments. Your analysis of inventory data will be crucial for identifying trends, forecasting needs, and recommending improvements to optimize stock levels and minimize shrinkage. This position requires close collaboration with warehouse staff to ensure proper product handling, storage, and rotation. A thorough understanding of WMS (Warehouse Management System) is essential. We are deeply committed to safety; adherence to all safety regulations and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory for all employees. While much of the role is analytical, occasional physical tasks may be required, including lifting up to 30 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute cycle counting programs to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the WMS.
- Analyze inventory data to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with operations to ensure efficient put-away and replenishment processes.
- Report on inventory status and key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and PPE requirements.
- Ability to perform occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
