**Job Purpose**
Herc Rentals is hiring a District Manager to lead a region, supporting our ProSolutions Rental division.
What is ProSolutions?
Our specialty rental team drives revenue by developing business relationships and providing customer focused solutions to our customers toughest Pump, Power and Climate Control challenges in industries including: Environmental and Restoration, Refineries and Petrochemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Sewer/Water/Municipal, Underground and General Contractors, Pipelines, Utilities and Industrial Facilities, Mining/Quarries, Entertainment and Special Events. They are subject matter experts and consultants for internal and external customers in the application of our fleet of pumps, generators, power distribution, and HVAC including Heat, AC, Chillers, and Desiccant Dehumidifiers.
The District Manager is accountable for planning, developing and maintaining the profitable operations across the region. This position will manage and mentor operations and sales leaders to support our reputation as the supplier of choice.
**What you will do...**
+ Manages and develops Branch Managers at locations throughout Region to ensure optimal efficiencies and highest standards are being met at each location.
+ Works with Region Fleet Manager to maintain proper fleet levels in each location.
+ Deals directly with manufacturers on fleet related issues.
+ Achieve BP revenue and pre-tax objective and reduce expenses
+ Handle full P&L for all branches in respective zone
+ Expand product knowledge through seminars/training for Managers and sales staff.
+ Collaborates with other corporate partners such as HR Business Partners, Region Maintenance Manager, Region Safety Manager, in establishing, supporting and/or implementing tasks required by the business:
+ Other projects as designated by RVP or Corporate staff.
**Skills**
+ Strong level of product knowledge specific to Power (generators), Pumps, HVAC, and Climate Control equipment
+ Ability to sell complex products and custom solutions
+ Planning: Ability to think ahead and plan over a one to two year time span.
+ Management: Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
+ Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
+ Good judgment and strong decision-making skills.
+ Strong outside sales at least 5 years of developing a territory
+ Ability to negotiate with and influence decision makers
+ Drive results through teamwork
+ Adapts to changing business and customer needs
**Conditions of Employment**
+ **5 - 8 years of progressive managerial experience in the equipment rental industry in a speciality division of Power, HVAC and or Pumps.**
+ At least 3 years of business development of a speciality division such as power (generators), HVAC, or pumps.
+ Valid driver's license
+ A recent driver's abstract will be required
+ Ability to travel throughout Western Canada

**Pay Range:** $170,000 - $195,000 Plus Quarterly profit share
