We have a current opening for an Engineering Manager and are actively reviewing applications. Are you ready to lead an Engineering team and make a lasting impact on their operations? We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately eight staff members while overseeing metallurgical engineering, pressure vessel design, and both mechanical and electrical design functions. Additionally, you will drive process improvements, guide key technical decisions, and collaborate closely with operations and project teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Engineering Manager to lead a dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will apply your deep expertise in metallurgy to develop innovative solutions and strengthen mechanical engineering processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee metallurgical design activities, ensuring adherence to applicable industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define project scope, establish timelines, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Perform detailed design reviews and technical analyses to enhance performance, reliability, and longevity.
  • Drive research and development initiatives focused on advancing designs and processing methods aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion within scope and timeline requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in metallurgical engineering, including at least 10 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • Demonstrated expertise in materials characterization and failure analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes such as welding, heat treatment, and casting.
  • Proven project management experience delivering complex technical projects successfully.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design principles.
  • Experience within custom heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using metallurgical simulation and analysis software.
  • Hands-on knowledge of materials testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Working understanding of statistical process control and quality assurance practices.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with an emphasis on data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and committed to continuous professional growth.
