Interior Designer – Maria DeCotiis Interior Design | Burnaby, BC (Contract to Start, Full-Time)

Maria DeCotiis Interior Design , a Vancouver-area residential interior design studio, is seeking a talented Interior Designer to join our Burnaby team. We create homes that are layered, sophisticated, and deeply personal—spaces that feel effortless, curated, and “lived-in.”

We are looking for someone who is passionate about design, detail-oriented, and technically strong , with a fun and collaborative personality. If you thrive on producing meticulous construction drawings while bringing creativity to every project, this is the role for you.

This is a contract position to start, with the potential to transition to full-time. Burnaby/Vancouver-based candidates only.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with our team to design high-end residential interiors that are thoughtful, layered, and unique to each client.
• Produce detailed construction drawings, millwork packages, and specifications with precision.
• Source finishes, furniture, lighting, and decor—balancing aesthetics and functionality.
• Model and render spaces in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop , or other software.
• Ensure design intent is clearly communicated to contractors and trades.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines independently while collaborating with the team.

Who You Are

• Based in Burnaby/Vancouver, BC.
• 3–7 years of residential interior design experience .
• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills ; proficient in SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop.
• Strong technical knowledge: construction drawings, specifications, millwork, detailing.
• Familiar with BC Building Code and residential construction processes.
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Creative, enthusiastic, and collaborative, with a fun, personable attitude .
