Wage rate: $48.45 to $60.56 (commensurate with experience)


The primary goal of the Clinical Manager for St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre is to ensure our patients are receiving high quality, person-centered care throughout their hospital stay that is in alignment with our values of Dignity, Excellence, Service and Integrity. This includes leading and supporting the nursing and allied health staff in flowing patients through our rehabilitation programs, and ensuring that patient care and services are provided in conformance with best practices in rehabilitation, and all legislative, regulatory, organizational, accreditation and sponsor requirements, while also emphasizing senior friendly care and a home-first philosophy. The Clinical Manager is a key member of the management team and has a shared responsibility for ensuring the establishment and maintenance of a work environment conducive to staff/team development and a care environment conducive to patient comfort, safety and wellbeing.

St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre of Sudbury is Northeastern Ontario’s only

rehabilitative and continuing care hospital. Our goal is to provide active rehabilitation to address functional decline so that patients can transition back to the community or to a lower level of care. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

  • Participation in short- and long-term goal setting for the unit
  • Development and implementation of best practices, clinical policies and procedures
  • Management and allocation of human and material resources
  • Management of reporting processes for mandatory reports such as Medication Errors and Critical Incidents
  • Supplier liaison and service contract management
  • Development and management of new and existing projects, innovations and pilots
  • Budget administration
  • Supporting and inspiring staff and direct reports within the management team


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Regulated Health Professional with a current certificate in good standing with the appropriate regulatory College
  • At least five years of experience in front-line patient care, preferably with supervisory and/or management experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with experience in a hospital environment
  • Advanced knowledge of gerontological and/or rehabilitative care and/or a commitment to continually expand knowledge base in this area
  • Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
