Humans of HR’s client is a North American manufacturing business known for disciplined operations and a strong performance culture. With continued investment in systems and infrastructure, the organization is focused on strengthening plant leadership and elevating site performance.


They are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead one of their key production facilities.


What This Role Owns:


This position carries full responsibility for how the site runs — from output and workforce leadership to process stability and operational results.


You will be the person ensuring production flows efficiently, teams are aligned, and standards are consistently upheld. The mandate is straightforward: create a well-run, predictable, and high-performing operation.


What You’ll Be Driving:


  • Overall plant execution and daily production flow
  • Workforce leadership, including supervisors and frontline teams
  • Operational planning and resource allocation
  • Process discipline and performance consistency
  • Measurable gains in throughput, uptime, and cost control
  • Safe work practices and adherence to established systems
  • Strong communication across departments to eliminate operational bottlenecks


This role requires someone comfortable making decisions in real time while also building structure that reduces firefighting over the long term.


Background We’re Interested In:


  • Demonstrated progression within a manufacturing environment, culminating in site-level leadership responsibility
  • Several years operating at a senior capacity within a plant setting
  • Experience managing in a unionized workforce environment
  • Clear examples of improving operational performance and team accountability
  • Strong understanding of production systems and structured improvement practices


A post-secondary education in business, engineering, operations, or a related field is considered an asset.
