Company Overview

Anodyne Chemistries is a chemical manufacturing startup developing and commercializing

bioelectric manufacturing technology. We operate a combined laboratory and office environment

and are building the foundational operational systems required to scale from R&D through pilot and

early commercial manufacturing.


Role Summary

The Finance and Operations Assistant supports the build-out and day-to-day operation of core

operational, financial, and compliance systems. This role works closely with operations, finance,

and technical teams to support non-dilutive funding reporting, operational department scale-up

activities, and the integration of operational data into financial systems.

The role is suited to someone who is execution-focused , detail-oriented and interested in gaining

broad exposure to chemical manufacturing operations, systems, and scale-up in a startup

environment.


Key Responsibilities

Non-Dilutive Funding & Reporting Support

• Support data collection and documentation for non-dilutive funding programs (e.g., SR&ED,

clean technology credits, grants).

• Track and report eligible labor, materials, prototype builds, pilot activities, and operational

costs.

• Understand funding agreements and devise strategies to optimize funds received.

• Maintain organized supporting documentation for claim submissions; track reporting

deadlines.

• Assist with internal reporting, advisor requests, and audit preparation.


Procurement Support

• Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and reconciliation.

• Maintain vendor records and support supplier onboarding processes.

• Help ensure procurement activity aligns with budget, approvals, and accounting

requirements.


Inventory, Logistics & Customs Management

• Support tracking of raw materials, intermediates, consumables, and finished goods.

• Assist with inventory counts, reconciliations, and basic controls.

• Maintain inventory records in alignment with quality and financial systems.

• Oversee end-to-end logistics and customs brokerage, ensuring timely release of imports via

CBSA account management and duty payments while maintaining full TDG compliance for

all material and sample shipments.


Facilities & Lab/Office Operations Support

• Support facilities management activities for a combined lab and office environment.

• Assist with service provider coordination, maintenance tracking, and space organization.

• Help track safety, compliance, and facilities-related documentation in coordination with

senior staff.


Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, operations, management, finance,

accounting, or a related field.

• Basic accounting knowledge, such as accrual accounting, balance sheet and income

statement concepts.

• 0–3 years of experience in an analyst, operations, manufacturing, or finance-related role

(internship or co-op experience acceptable).

• Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; comfort working with structured data.

• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

• Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred

• Exposure to manufacturing, laboratory, or industrial environments.

• Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory tools, or procurement workflows.

• Interest in chemical manufacturing, operations, or industrial scale-up.

• Prior experience supporting grants, tax credits, or compliance reporting (not required).
