We’re looking to enhance our team by welcoming a new Regulatory Compliance Coordinator to the Research & Development Team. Together with our Product Development, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Operations teams, Regulatory Compliance Coordinator will effectively influence product and packaging design and labelling decisions to ensure that packaging and labels meet market-specific regulatory requirements, both domestic and international. You will provide clear and timely regulatory input for innovative projects as well as existing product changes, ensuring that local and international requirements are fully met. The role will be tasked with combining knowledge of scientific, legal, and business issues to ensure products manufactured and distributed meet appropriate legislation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of product commercialization through end-to-end execution
The role:
- Own the certification process for all Taste of Nature products including any co-manufacturing and private label products for all required certifications including, but not limited to Kosher, Vegan, Non-GMO, Gluten Free (GFCO, GFCP), Organic.
- Conduct traceability requirements needed to satisfy international organic needs.
- Ensure that all information requirements are successfully submitted, managed, and maintained as compliant.
- Collaborate with vendor partners and internal colleagues to execute the above smoothly and in a timely manner.
- Review and approve final artwork against Canadian, US, International country standards and requirements.
- Successfully manage packaging and artwork transition to operational execution, ensuring compliant product is on shelf according to target timelines.
- Ensure product database is consistently maintained and current with final artwork, letter of attestation, claims, list of Ingredients, allergens and NFT.
- Respond to regulatory questions related to formulations and general labelling information.
- Function as packaging expert support in all QA/traceability activity and actions.
- Complete specification sheets as requested by internal and external customers.
- Track initiative progress and timelines, with regular reporting to the business.
- Ensure timely identification and mitigation of gaps related to the execution new initiatives.
- Provide regulatory support for all customer, GFSI and independent standard audits.
- Maintain current knowledge of labelling regulatory requirements pertinent to Canada, USA and all international destination countries. Update TONFI personnel on any upcoming changes potentially impactful to TONFI business.
- Review and approve raw materials for new and existing products to ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare and submit responses to customer regulatory inquiries.
- Review Analytical nutritional data from third party testing laboratories for accuracy and getting any discrepancies resolved.
- Support the entry and maintenance of regulatory and product information in customer portals to help meet customer and compliance requirements.

You offer:
- University degree in Regulatory Affairs or equivalent is required.
- Experience with the certification process for Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Gluten Free, Kosher, Vegan.
- Knowledgeable in Canadian and U.S. food labeling regulations and requirements.
- International regulatory knowledge (EU, Asia) an asset.
- Strong ability in the interpretation of regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail required.
- Ability to prioritize workload and project manage are a must.
- Bilingual French and English, written and spoken would be an asset.
