We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk at our Dallas, Texas distribution center. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and accurate flow of goods out of our facility. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for managing shipping documentation, coordinating with transportation providers, verifying shipment contents, and maintaining detailed records. An organized and meticulous approach is essential for success in this fast-paced logistics environment. - Prepare and process all shipping manifests, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against order records and shipping instructions.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring timely transit.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant internal departments and external partners.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date shipping files and records.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, drivers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and staged for dispatch.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the proper use of PPE by all personnel involved in shipping operations.
- Support other functions within the warehouse Logistics team as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience as a Shipping Clerk, Dispatcher, or in a related administrative logistics role is required.
- Proficiency in using shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle light physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of boxes (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and supply chain principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
