Permanent Full-Time Experienced Security Systems Technical Support Specialist

Pay:  CA$22.00-CA$36.00 per hour

** ACTIVELY LOOKING TO HIRE A PERMANENT FULL-TIME EXPERIENCED SECURITY SYSTEMS TECHNICAL SUPPORT POSITION LOCATED IN GRANDE PRAIRIE**

Responsibilities:

Set up and maintenance of Network including but not limited to, server, switches, firewall, internet connectivity, CCTV, P2P wireless connection. Install and update software and hardware for onsite computers both internally and for customers, residential and commercial alarm systems, commercial card access systems and operating systems. Fileserver and database back up, field support for system technicians, coordinate with customer IT departments, assist for wen and app navigation for alarm and CCTV systems, data cabling.

Applicants must have minimum 1 year of Direct Alarm Installer experience.

Essential Skills

• Use of Hand Tools - Must have prior experience with hand tools
• Time Management - Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities on a job site.
• Attention to Detail and Accuracy - You will be responsible for equipment going onsite and offsite, finalizing work orders including accurate, clear notes and time stamps.
• Customer Service and Communication - You can communicate clearly and concisely with clients, co-workers, office staff and management both written and verbally.
• Accountability - You are able to ask for help when needed, and learn from mistakes.

Required:

Education

• College/CEGEP
• Computer engineering technology/technician, general

Experience within the Security Industry including experience on the following equipment:

• DSC
• Qolsys
• Alarm.com
• Kantech Controls
• CCTV

Must be able to provide the following:

• Clean Drivers Abstract
• Valid Driver’s License
• Fluent in English (Verbal and Written Communication)
• Lifting/Bending – must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Heights – must be able to work at heights of 10-25 ft.
• Criminal Record Check

Must be able to provide the following valid tickets:

• TDG (Transport of Dangerous Goods)
• Aerial Lift
• Fall Protection
• First Aid Training (Level C CPR/AED)
• H2S Alive
