We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled *Quality Assurance Tester* to join our software development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test plans to ensure the highest quality of our software products. This role requires a strong understanding of various testing methodologies, automation tools, and development lifecycles to support continuous integration and deployment processes. The ideal applicant will possess excellent analytical skills, a proactive approach to troubleshooting, and experience working within diverse technical environments.
*Responsibilities*
* Develop and execute detailed test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications, including functional, system, integration, performance, load, and user acceptance testing.
* Automate test cases using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, and JUnit to streamline testing processes and support continuous integration workflows with Jenkins or GitLab.
* Perform root cause analysis on defects identified during testing phases and collaborate with developers to facilitate timely resolution.
* Conduct regression testing to verify bug fixes and ensure new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.
* Participate in requirement gathering sessions to understand project scope and contribute to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) planning.
* Support release management by validating software builds across various environments including Windows, Linux, AWS cloud platforms, Android, iOS, and web applications using RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, Business Analysts, System Administrators, and Developers to enhance product quality.
* Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test scripts, defect reports, and testing procedures in tools like Jira or HP ALM.
* Assist in performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to evaluate system scalability under load conditions.
* Contribute to the improvement of QA processes by implementing best practices in automation frameworks and integrating testing tools within CI/CD pipelines.
*Qualifications*
* Proven experience in software quality assurance with a strong understanding of SDLC models including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
* Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), JUnit, and related frameworks.
* Solid knowledge of programming languages including Java, C#, Python, C++, PHP or JavaScript for scripting automated tests.
* Experience working with APIs (REST & SOAP), web services, SQL databases (MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), JDBC/DB2/PL/SQL for data validation and backend testing.
* Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN or TFS; build tools such as Maven or Ant; and continuous integration servers like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis for troubleshooting issues effectively.
* Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to document findings clearly and collaborate effectively across teams.
* Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level or Certified Software Tester are desirable but not mandatory.
