You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and identifying areas for process improvement. This role requires a meticulous approach and a strong analytical mindset. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time, contributing significantly to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. We are looking for a proactive individual who can identify potential issues before they arise and implement effective solutions. You will work closely with warehouse staff, management, and potentially other departments to ensure seamless inventory management. A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment is paramount, and we provide all necessary PPE . This role involves physical activity, including some Lifting of inventory items. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Oversee the put-away process to ensure items are stored correctly.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to optimize inventory flow.
- Ensure adherence to all Safety regulations and proper use of PPE .
- Assist in optimizing warehouse layout for efficient inventory management.
- Implement measures to prevent loss, damage, or obsolescence of inventory.
- Support broader Logistics initiatives related to inventory optimization.
- Perform occasional Lifting and movement of inventory as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related Logistics role.
- Proficiency with WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Physical capability for Lifting and moving inventory items.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and consistent use of PPE .
