Are you a meticulous and organized individual looking to excel in the field of Logistics ? We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our busy facility in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and according to schedule. Your role is critical in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and correct dispatch of goods. We are committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment for all our team members.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and manifests.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match customer orders and shipping instructions.
- Package products securely for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Label packages accurately with destination and tracking information.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with carriers.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to move shipments.
- Maintain accurate shipping records and logs.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and adheres to all Safety standards.
- Use and maintain all required PPE diligently.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and Logistics procedures.
- Commitment to upholding workplace Safety and compliance.
