We are hiring an experienced Reach Truck Operator for our busy logistics facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position requires a skilled individual with a proven track record of safely and efficiently operating reach trucks to move and store inventory. As a Reach Truck Operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering pallets in high-rack environments, assisting with put-away, order picking, and replenishment. Your precision and adherence to safety standards are critical. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent spatial awareness, and is committed to maintaining a safe and productive workspace. We provide comprehensive safety training and require the consistent use of appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
- Load and unload pallets from racks in a high-level environment.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate inventory placement.
- Pick and stage orders accurately using the reach truck.
- Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure operational safety and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and checks as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse associates to ensure efficient workflow.
- Follow all protocols for safe material handling and logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck with a valid certification or demonstrated proficiency.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to work at heights and in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, including proper use of PPE.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills.
