Our Houston, Texas distribution center is seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator to enhance our warehouse operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently move, stack, and retrieve inventory in narrow aisle racking systems. Your expertise will be vital in maximizing warehouse space utilization and ensuring timely order fulfillment. We are looking for a safety-conscious, experienced operator with a strong understanding of reach truck operations and warehouse Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to move pallets and inventory within narrow aisles.
- Place and retrieve stock from high-level racking systems.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Perform pre-operation checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and order picking support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
- Strictly adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines and operating procedures.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support the broader logistics team with other warehouse duties as needed.
- Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
- Valid reach truck certification or license.
- In-depth knowledge of reach truck operation and Safety best practices.
- Ability to work at heights and navigate narrow aisles effectively.
- Experience with warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
