We are hiring a Shipping Clerk to join our dedicated logistics team in Tampa, Florida. In this essential role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient preparation of outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, packaging items appropriately, generating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers. Accuracy and organizational skills are paramount to ensure that all outgoing merchandise is processed correctly and dispatched on time. This position offers a great opportunity to be a key player in our supply chain and contribute to overall operational success. You are the final checkpoint before our products reach our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing orders against shipping documents.
- Package products securely and efficiently for transit, selecting appropriate materials.
- Generate and affix correct shipping labels and documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain an organized and tidy shipping area.
- Conduct final quality checks on all outgoing shipments.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with receiving duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors regarding shipment status.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in using shipping software and understanding shipping carrier requirements. Ability to perform tasks that may involve occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
