You will be responsible for verifying shipments against purchase orders, inspecting items for damage, and properly documenting all received inventory. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments using appropriate equipment.
- Verify contents of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders, noting any discrepancies.
- Inspect goods for damage and report any issues to supervisors immediately.
- Accurately document all received inventory in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Organize and stage incoming goods for further processing or storage.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other departments, such as shipping and inventory control, to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Understand and contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
