We are hiring a Shipping & Receiving Associate for our San Diego, California location. This multifaceted role involves managing both inbound and outbound logistics operations. You will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing orders for shipment, and coordinating with carriers. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Log all incoming inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Pick, pack, and stage outgoing orders accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation for all outbound shipments.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized shipping and receiving areas.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and company policies.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Must be capable of manual Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if applicable).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of Safety protocols in a warehouse setting.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform manual Lifting throughout the shift.
