We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for our San Antonio, Texas logistics hub. In this role, you will be responsible for processing outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently. Your duties will include preparing shipping documents, verifying package contents, selecting appropriate shipping carriers, and ensuring that all shipments meet carrier requirements. This position is critical to our outbound operations and requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. You will contribute to the smooth functioning of our entire supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process all outgoing domestic and international shipments.
- Verify shipment contents against order details and shipping manifests.
- Select appropriate shipping methods and carriers based on destination, urgency, and cost.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure packages are properly packaged, labeled, and secured for transit.
- Maintain organized shipping records and filing systems.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- May require occasional Lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Shipping best practices and Safety protocols.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and occasional Lifting.
