Locum Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Tacoma, WA)

A Level II Trauma center seeking a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to provide locum coverage for approximately two weeks per month over a 6 9 month assignment. Coverage is needed due to a provider resignation.

Position Highlights:

• Hospital and outpatient clinic setting

• 24/7 ER orthopedic trauma coverage with dedicated PA support

• Three outpatient clinic mornings per week (Monday Friday schedule, exact days TBD)

• Manage a full spectrum of orthopedic trauma cases excluding complex pelvic injuries

• Patient volume varies from 0 7 admissions per day

• EPIC EMR system

• Full hospital and clinic support staff available

Requirements:

• Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon

• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred; trauma experience without fellowship may be considered if credentialing requirements are met

• Minimum of five years of Level II trauma experience

• Washington medical license preferred or IMLC with Letter of Qualification

• BLS and DEA required (candidates in process may be considered)

• Clean malpractice history preferred

• Initial coverage dates begin in May with ongoing monthly coverage needs
