Company: Cathedra LLC is a New York City construction company.

Job Description: Cathedra is looking for an organized and reliable individual with construction knowledge and experience in overseeing various construction projects. Project types range from residential and commercial renovations and repairs to larger construction projects . Looking for someone who can start as soon as possible. You must have a vehicle to get to jobs efficiently across New York City and nearby areas depending on the day.

Location: Most projects occur in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Occasional projects may be in Queens, the Bronx, or neighboring areas.

Job Duties:

• Manage the progress and timely completion of various jobs while ensuring the highest quality product is delivered. Must be able to make sure projects align with plans and deliver the final product on schedule and within budget

·        Use software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression. JobTread experience strongly preferred.

• Travel to all job sites to supervise workers and job progress from start to finish. Position will often require traveling from different sites in a single day, example there may be jobs in Washington Heights, Midtown, and Downtown Brooklyn all in a day that must be visited in person
• Acquire equipment and materials necessary for jobs, includes managing costs and ensuring supplies are acquired in time for job completion
• Supervising laborers, painters, cleaners, subcontractors and give guidance and assistance where needed
• Provide detailed progress reports and frequent updates
• Collaborate with company owner, property managers, laborers, building and unit owners, etc.  
• Visiting new potential job sites and diagnose potential repairs and improvements
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Able to quickly react to and control problems, delays, or emergencies that may arise

Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years in a construction-based supervisory/project manger role (NYC experience required)

- Must have experience supervising construction workers and subcontractors

- Must have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively and build relationships with all clients, owners, architects, etc.

· Must be able to read blueprints

· In depth understanding of construction (hands on experience and ability to step in to assist/complete various tasks strongly preferred)

- Experience with punch listing projects and getting the projects to final completion

· Excellent organizational, problem solving, and time management skills

- Having a vehicle is preferred as many of the jobs are in different areas in/around NYC and you would often need to travel between them quickly depending on the day

Pay: $70k-80k
