Concrete & Masonry Project Manager

Job Description

Bowden Contracting is a licensed & Insured family-owned company seeking a Project Manager to join our team. We specialize in Concrete, Masonry & Grading, for residential and commercial properties.

The Concrete and Masonry Project Manager is to oversee residential construction projects, including foundations, flatwork, masonry, and site concrete. This role is responsible for managing crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining schedules, and enforcing safety standards from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all residential concrete and masonry operations, including footings, slabs, foundations, retaining walls, CMU, brick, and stone
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, labor crews, and material deliveries
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget
• Conduct daily site inspections for quality control and safety compliance
• Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and homeowners
• Verify layout, elevations, reinforcement, and formwork prior to pours
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain daily reports, schedules, and production tracking
• Ensure all work meets local building codes and company standards
• Address any complaints/issues with sub-contractors & customers
• Ensure good housekeeping on all jobsites
• Complete invoicing in an efficient and timely manner
• Invoice project within 3 days of job completion
• Ability to read blueprints and site plans

Requirements

• Valid NC Driver’s License with clean driving Record
• 2 Years supervising residential concrete and masonry work
• Frequently move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
• Operate a computer and other office machinery: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, & Printer
• Periodically will work in outdoor weather conditions supervising laborers.
• Ability to operate a vehicle and drive to multiple jobsites throughout the day.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with local building codes and inspections
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• OSHA knowledge (OSHA 10 or 30 preferred)
• Experience with tract homes, custom homes, or townhome developments
