Job Title: Construction Project Manager / General Contractor
Location: Dallas, TX (Projects in Dallas & Austin Areas)
Salary: $120,000 – $125,000 (W2 Position)

Company Overview
We are a growing construction company specializing in commercial tenant improvements, maintenance, and renovation projects for state and federal government clients. With an expanding project pipeline across the Dallas and Austin markets, we are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Project Manager/General Contractor to help lead field operations and ensure successful project delivery.

Position Summary
This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial construction, contract administration, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and subcontractor management. This individual will also be responsible for pulling permits in Dallas County and acting as the primary point of contact for jobsite execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects, primarily tenant improvements and government contracts
  • Oversee daily field operations and serve as on-site project leadership
  • Administer contracts, change orders, and project documentation
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors and vendors
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with project specifications
  • Pull permits and ensure local and county code compliance (Dallas County required)
  • Conduct jobsite inspections and safety oversight
  • Communicate with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
  • Track project progress and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Support startup operational growth and process development

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager and/or General Contractor
  • Strong background in commercial construction (tenant improvements required)
  • Experience working on state and federal government projects preferred
  • Ability to pull permits and manage compliance requirements
  • Well-versed in construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Strong subcontractor coordination and field management skills
  • Hands-on, proactive leadership style
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work out of the Dallas office and travel locally to project sites

Compensation & Benefits
