Job Description

Job Description

NSVIT is hiring an experienced Project Manager to oversee low voltage and security integration projects from contract award through closeout.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of projects A–Z, understands construction environments, and knows how to keep schedules tight, documentation clean, and teams accountable.

This role requires strong organizational discipline, technical awareness, and the ability to stay ahead of problems before they impact schedule or budget.

Full Project Lifecycle Management

  • Manage projects from kickoff to final turnover
  • Build and maintain detailed project schedules using Gantt charts
  • Track milestones, labor allocation, procurement, and deadlines
  • Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Anticipate risks and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Maintain constant visibility on project status — nothing falls through the cracks

Scheduling & Planning

  • Develop detailed schedules and update them weekly
  • Coordinate with general contractors, site superintendents, and other trades
  • Manage manpower planning and deployment
  • Monitor material lead times and procurement timelines
  • Drive accountability across field teams and subcontractors

Technical & Construction Coordination

  • Access control systems (including platforms like Brivo and SALTO Systems)
  • Video surveillance systems (including Eagle Eye Networks and Digital Watchdog)
  • Structured cabling and network infrastructure

You don’t need to be the programmer — but you must understand the systems well enough to manage scope, sequencing, and commissioning properly.

Documentation & Software Tools

  • Microsoft Excel  (budget tracking, cost analysis, forecasting, change tracking)
  • Gantt charts  (detailed scheduling and progress tracking)
  • Bluebeam  (drawing review, takeoffs, markups)
  • Procore  (RFIs, submittals, documentation, communication logs)

You will:

  • Review plans and specifications
  • Submit and track RFIs
  • Manage submittals and closeout documents
  • Maintain accurate project files
  • Track change orders and scope modifications
  • Keep documentation clean and audit-ready

Communication & Leadership

  • Serve as client contact during project execution
  • Lead internal project meetings
  • Coordinate closely with field supervisors
  • Provide clear updates to leadership
  • Maintain strong relationships with GCs and property managers

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience managing low voltage, security, or electrical projects
  • Strong construction scheduling experience
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced-level comfort required)
  • Experience using Bluebeam and Procore
  • Experience building and maintaining Gantt charts
  • Strong understanding of budgets and cost control
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
  • PMP certification strongly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license

What Success Looks Like

  • Projects consistently delivered on schedule
  • Clean documentation and organized job files
  • Accurate forecasting and budget control
  • Field teams properly coordinated
  • No surprises at closeout
