Local Construction Project Manager

Job Description

Urban West Construction is seeking a local  experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to support our residential and commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys collaborating, solving problems in the field, and has a track record of managing construction projects in the Bay Area.

There are no exceptions, so please do not reach out if you currently do not live in the Bay Area or do not have construction project management experience in the Bay Area. 

You’ll work closely with our internal team, subcontractors, and clients to help ensure every project is executed efficiently, safely, and to our standards.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or proven experience in construction management and can work independently. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Assist in planning and executing construction projects from start to finish
• Participate in the development of project budgets and cost proposals
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, verify compliance, and track field issues.
• Support cost control by helping to manage budgets, track expenses, and process change orders.
• Manage project document control- ensure submittals, RFIs, and drawings are current and properly filed.
• Assist with procurement of materials and equipment, and coordinate deliveries.
• Work with subcontractors to track billings, progress, and compliance requirements.
• Help identify and mitigate project risks, escalating issues to senior management when needed.
• Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
