Job Description

Elford is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale Healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This role is built for a leader who understands the complexity of healthcare environments — active campuses, strict regulatory requirements, detailed coordination, and zero room for error. You know how to build in highly technical spaces while protecting schedule, budget, safety, and client trust.

If you thrive in complex projects and want to work for a contractor where your leadership and expertise are valued, we’d like to connect.

What You’ll Lead
  • Provide overall project leadership from preconstruction through completion

  • Develop scopes of work, manage procurement, and lead subcontractor buyout

  • Establish and maintain project budgets, cost controls, and financial performance to ensure profitability

  • Develop master project schedules, milestone dates, and execution strategies

  • Lead owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings with confidence and clarity

  • Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure field execution aligns with schedule, safety, and quality expectations

  • Oversee change management, pay applications, invoice approvals, and cost code tracking

  • Ensure thorough documentation and contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle

  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers

  • Contribute to healthcare market growth, pursuit strategy, and business development efforts

  • Support the ongoing development of Elford’s Healthcare best practices

What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 7+ years of progressive experience managing construction projects, with demonstrated Healthcare project leadership

  • Strong financial acumen and proven ability to manage profitability

  • Experience leading projects in active healthcare environments

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills

  • A proactive, solution-driven leadership style

  • Cleveland, Ohio, United States
