Job Description
Job Title: Construction SR. Project Manager / Executive
Role Overview
The Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects. You will act as the primary bridge between the field operations, design teams, and ownership. The Sr. Project Manager focuses on the daily progression of a project, and will oversee high-level strategy, and multi-project portfolios. In addition, development of long-term client relationships and client retention working in unison with sales is required.
Core Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Lead projects from pre-construction/estimating through closeout, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project P&L, including cost forecasting, pay applications, change orders, and budget reconciliations.
- Schedule & Logistics: Develop and maintain master schedules (Procore, Primavera P6, or MS Project) and coordinate material procurement to prevent site delays.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, and engineers, providing transparent reporting and solving high-level conflicts.
- Risk Management & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with OSHA standards and company safety protocols; identify and mitigate potential project risks early.
- Strategic Growth: Oversee a team of PMs, assist in business development, and lead the negotiation of major prime contracts.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- PM: 5–10 years of experience in construction project management.
- Management: 10-15 projects of 1 million plus and managing a 2-3 PMS
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, or Sage).
- Certifications: PMP or LEED AP is a plus; OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
- Soft Skills: High emotional intelligence, sharp negotiation skills, and the ability to lead diverse teams under tight deadlines.
