Job Description
Responsible for client communication, managing and coordinating projects from initiation to close.
**Remote**
Manages changes in project scope, fees/proposals, schedule and or budget. Main point of contact
on projects and required to attend remote and in person calls, meetings, presentations as needed.
Coordinates workflow and assigns tasks to team in a timely manner. Prices cost estimates and
contacts vendors for specialized quotes as needed. Quality Control of projects. Reports to
Principal and Business Administrator.
• Project Analysis: Review project specifications, blueprints, and other relevant documents
to understand the scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Cost Data Research: Gather and analyze data on materials, labor rates, and equipment
costs. Stay informed about market conditions, pricing trends, and industry standards to
ensure accurate estimations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and other
stakeholders to obtain necessary information and insights for creating comprehensive cost
estimates.
• Quantity Takeoffs: Conduct quantity takeoffs, which involve determining the quantities of
materials and labor required for a project based on its specifications and plans.
• Cost Estimation: Utilize specialized software and mathematical formulas to calculate and
provide accurate estimates for various project components, including materials, labor,
overhead, and contingency.
• Budget Development: Contribute to the development of project budgets by providing
detailed cost breakdowns and collaborating with project managers to ensure financial
feasibility.
• Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks that may impact the cost of a project.
Provide recommendations for mitigating these risks to ensure budgetary control.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of cost estimates, assumptions,
and data sources. Ensure that documentation is organized and easily accessible for
reference.
• Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, presenting cost estimates
and explaining the factors contributing to the overall project costs. Address client inquiries
and provide clarification as need
