What you’ll do

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the development of our payment platform. You’ll design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems while ensuring the security, performance, and reliability of our solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge payment features that enhance the customer experience.

• Build software that resolves real-life payments/fintech problems for a high number of customers and impacts millions of end-users worldwide.
• Deal with complex calculations that require a high degree of logical thinking on top of technical skills.
• Lead end-to-end feature delivery from design to planning, implementation, and deployment.
• Identify, propose and contribute to/coordinate architectural improvements.

What you’ll bring

• Experience with Golang or similar programming languages (general purpose, compiled, statically typed).
• Experience with relational databases and SQL and familiarity with high concurrent environments, transaction management, and isolation.
• Recognize the challenges of running a high-volume SaaS platform at a large scale and produce quality, easily maintainable, and documented code that respects best practices.
• Solid API design skills, with a focus on security and documentation.
• You are curious and product-oriented.
• You are autonomous and proactive.

Advantageous:

• Experience in banking and payment systems (SEPA, Swift, Ebics...).
• DevOps appetite - you have been involved in implementing/using CI using Gitlab and Kubernetes.
• Cloud hosting with AWS and experience with EC2, S3, EKS, RDS…
• Familiar with Kafka or similar message broker middlewares.
