The OpportunityWe are seeking an outgoing, technically proficient Financial Systems Manager to lead the management, optimisation, and support of our ERP system. Reporting to the Controller, this role bridges Finance and Technology, ensuring the platform meets evolving business needs while maintaining data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Finance or Accounting, hands‑on experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, and proven leadership of a small team of Training & Support Specialists.
What You’ll Do- Oversee configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the ERP and related systems.
- Drive implementation and upgrade of the ERP and related systems.
- Engage with internal stakeholders, providing a client‑focused approach to day‑to‑day operational needs and long‑term strategic goals.
- Collaborate with other teams to streamline processes and automate routine tasks for continuous improvement.
- Guide configuration decisions and process design, working closely with Finance & Accounting, Technology teams, and external partners.
- Manage system updates and testing cycles, and serve as the escalation point for complex ERP issues.
- Ensure financial data integrity within the ERP system and related dashboards and reports.
- Oversee user access and role management to support security best practices and compliance with organisational policies.
- Help develop and deliver training programmes and documentation for end users; backfill frontline helpdesk support when needed.
- Lead a small team of ERP Training & Support specialists, providing mentorship, performance reviews, career/goal setting, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
- Provide presentations or reports to management regarding issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage in professional development to adapt knowledge and skills with changes in technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or accounting; Microsoft Certified Professional qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience with implementation and/or configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- 10+ years of work experience in Accounting, Project Accounting, and/or Financial Systems Management, including at least 2 years of leadership experience.
- Solid understanding of project billing and resource assignment for the professional services industry is an asset.
- Strong people skills and excellent communicator, fluent in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerBI, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; advanced Excel skills required.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps is an asset.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team of direct reports.
- Experience providing presentations, analyses, reports, and communicating with senior management and project stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines and drive strategic initiatives through leadership and change management.
- A strong curiosity and desire for continuous learning in new technology transforming ERP.
The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 per annum, commensurate with education, experience, skills, and qualifications. The salary offered will be based on the successful candidate’s experience and qualifications.
