We are looking for a Financial Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing our financial statements, management reporting (MFR), and contributing to annual internal and external every year auditing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and auditing practices to the financial services industry in Canada.

• Financial Statement Preparation: Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with CIRO regulations.
• Management Reporting (MFR): Compile and analyze Management Financial Reports to provide insights into the company’s financial performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify key performance indicators, variances, and opportunities for optimization. Provide recommendations to senior management based on analysis findings.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis reports.
• Internal Controls : Maintain and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Audit Support : Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and regulatory examinations. Prepare necessary schedules and documentation to support audit procedures.
• Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the finance department to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.CPAdesignation is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within thefinancial industry .
• Experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Mandarin and English is an asset.
• Canada Accounting Standards, CIRO regulations, and auditing experience is an asset.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and integrity.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift

Pay: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
