R&D Project Buyer

About the Position

We are looking for collaborative and results-driven R&D Project Buyer to join ITEC and manage procurement for new technology projects and NPI (New Product Introduction) demands. In this role, you will work closely with R&D engineers and coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and supplier quality.

What You Will Do

• Manage procurement requests for R&D projects, including NPI and NPR requests, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.

• Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings and avoidance.

• Conduct supplier evaluation, qualification, and partnership meetings to maintain a competent and reliable supplier base and ensure goods and services meet quality standards. Perform E-RFQ (Electronic Request for Quotation) bidding for required commodities to secure the best value.

• Collect, consolidate, and report procurement KPIs to provide insights to suppliers and management.

• Originate, approve, and maintain procedures, specifications, and quality records to ensure up-to-date revisions.

• Collaborate with COE P2P (Purchase-to-Pay), internal stakeholders, and vendors for deliveries, inspections, and returns related to quality issues.

• Provide stakeholders with information, strategies, and best practices to maximize procurement leverage.

What You Will Need

• Degree in Engineering or Supply & Purchasing disciplines

• 3–5 years of procurement experience

• Experience in the semiconductor or related high-tech industries is a plus

• Knowledge of procurement systems and SAP (advantage)

• Understanding of machining cost calculation (advantage)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Team player with strong internal and external relationship-building skills

• Strong negotiation skills with pricing sensitivity

• High integrity, detail-oriented, and efficient

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

• Eager to learn, proactive, and collaborative
