Application Question(s):
* Do you have a minimum of 2 years of continuous, hands-on mechanical assembly experience building complex mechanical components or assemblies (valves, actuators, pumps, hydraulic systems, or similar) in a manufacturing environment? (Yes/No)
* Have you performed complete, end-to-end mechanical assemblies from component-level through final build with minimal supervision, taking ownership of the entire assembly process? (Yes/No)
* Do you have extensive experience using torque wrenches (click-type, dial, digital) to apply precise torque values per specifications, including understanding of torque sequencing, torque-angle, and torque-to-yield methods? (Yes/No)
* Are you proficient in lock wiring (safety wire) techniques, including proper twist pitch (number of twists per inch), wire direction (right-hand vs. left-hand thread), pigtail termination (length and bend direction), and use of safety wire pliers for various fastener configurations? (Yes/No)
* Are you proficient in using precision measurement tools including calipers (dial/digital), micrometers (outside, depth), and gauges (thread gauges, pin gauges, bore gauges, snap gauges) to verify critical dimensions and tolerances down to 0.001" or better? (Yes/No)
* Have you performed functional testing, leak testing (hydrostatic or pneumatic), or pressure testing on assembled components to verify performance against specifications, including documentation of results? (Yes/No)
* Do you have specific hands-on experience assembling hydraulic or pneumatic components (valves, actuators, manifolds, pumps) including contamination control, seal installation, and understanding of fluid cleanliness requirements? (Yes/No)
* Can you provide specific, measurable achievements from your assembly career, such as number of units assembled (e.g., "500+ actuators per year"), defect-free rate (e.g., "99.5% first-pass yield"), cycle time reduction (e.g., "reduced assembly time by 20%"), or quality awards received? (Yes/No)
* Have you used advanced torque methods such as torque-angle (torque plus degrees rotation) or torque-to-yield (plastic region fastening) on critical assemblies? (Yes/No)
