*LONG TERM CONTRACT WITH OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVANCEMENT or POSSIBLE HIRE PERM*
*Summary: *The main function of Material Handler/Grease Packaging Operator is to receive, store and issue materials, equipment and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
*Responsibilities:*
* Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
* Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
* Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
* Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
* Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
* Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
* Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
* Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
* Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
* All other duties as needed or required.
*Required Skills:*
* Forklift certified or a minimum of 1 year's forklift experience
* 2 plus years of Warehouse type or assembly line experience
* Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
* Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Must be able to work in extreme hot/cold warehouse environment
* Must be available for day and night shifts, and weekends if needed
* Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
* Team player
* Detail oriented.
* Basic Plus and Site Specific required
* Driver License Required
*Education/Experience:*
* HS Diploma or GED
* Warehouse and Forklift experience required
*Pay Range:*
The pay range for this position is $16 - $18 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
*Schedule: *5/2 - plus overtime, days and nights, and weekends, 8-12 hr shifts, rotating days/nights. Schedules are subject to change as required.
