We are hiring a Receiving Clerk in our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility. This role is vital to the efficient operation of our logistics network, ensuring all incoming goods are processed accurately and promptly. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the physical unloading of shipments, meticulous inspection of products, and precise data entry into our inventory management system. Success in this position requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a firm understanding of warehouse procedures. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory integrity and facilitating seamless internal movements of goods. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a crucial warehouse function and contribute to a reliable supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Accept and unload deliveries from various carriers.
- Inspect shipments for any damage or discrepancies, documenting findings.
- Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system.
- Organize and stage received products for storage or distribution.
- Ensure the receiving dock area is kept clean, orderly, and free from hazards.
- Collaborate with inventory control and other departments to resolve receiving issues.
- Follow all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- The job involves regular Lifting of boxes and materials.
- Understanding warehouse Logistics and flow is key.
- Maintain high standards of Safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience in warehouse receiving or similar role preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Excellent observational skills and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to manage workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Familiarity with Logistics operations is a plus.
