Seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Sacramento, California. This position is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for handling materials safely and accurately, ensuring they are properly stored, retrieved, and prepared for distribution. If you have a strong work ethic and a commitment to Safety, this role is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to and from various warehouse locations using hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Sort, organize, and stock inventory in assigned areas.
- Prepare materials for outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and packaging.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Perform regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting procedures.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, free from hazards.
- Perform tasks that involve manual Lifting of materials, typically up to 50 pounds.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and as trained.
- Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the overall logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and Lifting.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with general logistics principles is a plus.
- Willingness to consistently use required PPE.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
