We are seeking an efficient and reliable Order Picker to join our growing team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will play a key role in our logistics operations by accurately retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This position requires a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will utilize scanning equipment and follow precise picking instructions to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a positive attitude and the physical capability to perform the required tasks, including frequent lifting. We prioritize safety, and all employees are required to follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic devices.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items and quantities.
- Package orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to supervisors.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed within the logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and commitment to using PPE.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics operations.
