We are hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our expanding Raleigh, North Carolina warehouse. This critical role ensures the efficient movement and storage of goods within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong safety record and proficiency in operating forklifts to handle a variety of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack merchandise.
- Inspect forklifts before and after use, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with company safety standards and regulations.
- Mandatory use of all required PPE, including safety vests, steel-toed boots, and eye protection.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to achieve operational efficiency in logistics.
- Participate in regular safety training and adhere to best practices.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Proficiency in operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Strong commitment to safety and experience using PPE correctly.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing and lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
