We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that all material handling is performed in accordance with company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety. The ability to perform Lifting tasks when not operating a forklift, as well as safely maneuvering loads, is crucial. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper working order and Safety.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties, including order picking and packing, as needed.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of the logistics operations.
- Ensure loads are secure and properly balanced for safe transport.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA compliant).
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and good spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be committed to Safety and wearing required PPE.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
