We are hiring a Distribution Center Associate for our busy facility in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is critical to the smooth functioning of our supply chain and logistics network. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be responsible for a range of operational duties that ensure our products reach our customers efficiently and accurately. Key tasks include receiving and inspecting inbound goods, meticulously picking and packing customer orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. A strong focus on Safety is integral to this position, and all team members are required to strictly follow safety protocols and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role demands physical stamina as it involves consistent Lifting of products, sometimes in bulk. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of productivity and Safety in our fast-paced logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, verify, and store incoming merchandise.
- Efficiently pick and pack orders using scanners and order lists.
- Prepare shipments by packaging items securely and applying labels.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the distribution center.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Support the overall logistics and operational flow of the facility.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse Safety standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic logistics environment.
- Strong sense of teamwork and good communication skills.
- Must be willing to adhere to all Safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Dependable and punctual with a commitment to quality work.
- Basic understanding of inventory control principles.
