We are searching for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our thriving logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. This pivotal role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent cycle counting, stocktaking, and discrepancy investigation. You will be responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, identifying and resolving stock discrepancies, and implementing procedures to prevent future issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems and logistics principles. A commitment to safety and accuracy is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Process inventory adjustments and transfers accurately.
- Monitor stock levels and report on accuracy metrics.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to minimize damage.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role within logistics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 30 pounds when necessary.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
