We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Portland, Oregon. In this critical role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our facility, ensuring the smooth flow of goods in our logistics chain. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a proven commitment to safety. Experience operating various types of forklifts in a high-volume environment is preferred. You will play a key part in our operational success.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport inventory to designated storage locations.
- Assist with picking and staging orders as needed.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
