We are seeking enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our thriving logistics facility in Madison, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment. Your day-to-day tasks will involve navigating the warehouse, locating specified products using scanners or order sheets, and ensuring the correct quantities are gathered. Following the picking process, you will expertly package the items, ensuring they are well-protected and labeled correctly for transit. This position demands a keen eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to accuracy to maintain high customer satisfaction. You will be on your feet throughout your shift and will need to be comfortable with moderate lifting. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees are required to follow strict safety guidelines and utilize the appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse stock using handheld scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package selected items securely and efficiently, using appropriate shipping materials.
- Apply shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Perform quality checks on picked and packed items.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Strictly follow all warehouse safety protocols and demonstrate the proper use of PPE.
- Achieve established productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Contribute positively to the overall logistics team and workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with using scanners and reading order forms.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving logistics setting.
- Capability to stand for long periods and perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Basic reading and comprehension skills.
- Understanding and adherence to warehouse safety standards and PPE requirements.
