We are looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team in Boise, Idaho. The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient flow of goods within our warehouse. This role is crucial for our logistics operations, as it directly impacts order accuracy and overall operational efficiency. Your duties will include conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, organizing stock, and updating inventory management systems. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly documented and accounted for. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE. While not as physically demanding as some warehouse roles, the ability to lift items and work in a dynamic environment is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Perform physical counts of inventory and reconcile with system records.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the warehouse management system.
- Organize and label inventory items for easy identification and retrieval.
- Assist in receiving and put-away of incoming goods.
- Generate inventory reports as required.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper inventory handling procedures are followed.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized stockroom.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in business or logistics is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related field.
- Proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a logistics environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
