Join our dedicated team as a Material Handler in Cincinnati, Ohio! We are looking for a diligent individual to manage the movement and organization of materials within our facility. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that raw materials, components, and finished goods are efficiently transferred to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping docks. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and effectively. Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular inspections of materials and equipment are also key aspects of this position. A strong focus on safety is essential, as you will be working around heavy machinery and materials. We require all employees to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE. This is a physically demanding role that involves significant lifting and manual dexterity. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Organize and stack materials in storage areas, ensuring proper labeling and identification.
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Inspect materials and equipment for damage or defects, reporting any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in maintaining the flow of materials for production and shipping.
- Support team efforts to achieve daily operational goals in our logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and manual labor.
- Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
