Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming materials and verify against shipping documents.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring proper placement and accessibility.
- Pick and stage materials for production or shipment orders.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring secure placement.
- Perform routine checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse premises.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Follow all company procedures to ensure efficient logistics flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a significant asset.
- Demonstrated ability for lifting objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using appropriate PPE.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
