We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous Inventory Clerk to join our dynamic warehouse team in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the efficient flow of goods, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Label and stock inventory items in designated warehouse locations.
- Prepare and stage outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
- Maintain a clean and organized stockroom, adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with the management of inventory software and databases.
- Track and report on inventory levels, stock movements, and potential shortages.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, including moderate **Lifting** (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and **logistics**.
- Knowledge of **PPE** and adherence to **safety** regulations is mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
