We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by selecting items from warehouse shelves. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order sheets or scanning equipment.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks, carts, or other equipment safely to move products within the warehouse.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, adhering to company packaging standards.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damaged goods to a supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring easy access to products and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Participate in training sessions to improve picking efficiency and product knowledge.
- Be able to perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safe operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving frequent bending, squatting, and lifting.
- Commitment to safety protocols and adherence to guidelines is paramount in our logistics operations.
