We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our distribution center. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that goods are transported, loaded, and unloaded accurately and on time. You will operate various types of forklifts, including sit-down, stand-up, and reach trucks, to move pallets of raw materials, finished goods, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating systems.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as picking, packing, and staging orders.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment, free from hazards.
- Must be comfortable with frequent Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold our commitment to operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including regular Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
