Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Washington, D.C. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, performing stock audits, and ensuring that inventory data within our system is precise and up-to-date. You will work closely with the receiving, put-away, and shipping departments to identify and address any issues that may affect inventory accuracy. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and proficiency in using inventory management software. You will play a key part in optimizing inventory levels, reducing shrinkage, and improving overall warehouse efficiency. Adherence to all safety procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory to ensure a safe working environment. While this role is primarily focused on data and analysis, it may involve some light lifting and movement of stock for verification purposes. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of inventory control procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a similar role.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
  • Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs when required for verification.
